The audit produces a prioritised remediation plan. Critical issues that prevent access to core functionality are fixed first. These include missing alt text on images, form inputs without labels, keyboard traps, and missing focus indicators. We then address medium-priority issues like heading hierarchy, link text, ARIA usage, and touch target sizes.

Our remediation work is thorough. We implement proper semantic HTML structure with landmarks, headings, and ARIA attributes. Interactive components like modals, accordions, and menus receive full keyboard support with proper focus trapping and escape key handling. Forms get associated labels, error messages connected with aria-describedby, and live regions for dynamic feedback.

Colour and visual accessibility is addressed by ensuring all text meets minimum contrast ratios, providing focus indicators that are visible against all backgrounds, and supporting reduced-motion preferences for users who are sensitive to animation. We never rely solely on colour to convey information.

Post-remediation, we provide your team with an accessibility statement for your website, documentation of accessible patterns used, and training on maintaining accessibility as you add new content and features. We can also set up automated accessibility testing in your CI/CD pipeline to catch regressions before they reach production.
