Context

Retro Koşar Tekstil is a garment manufacturer producing t-shirts, polo shirts, coats and parkas, jackets, vests, aprons, trousers and knitwear, and positioning itself towards European fashion buyers.

Challenge

A manufacturer's website has a different reader from a brand's website. The visitor is a sourcing manager or a buyer, not a consumer, and they are not shopping — they are assessing whether this supplier can produce their order, to their standard, at their volume. A consumer-style catalogue answers none of that, and the business does not sell through one anyway.

Strategy

The site was rebuilt around what a buyer actually evaluates. Product lines establish the range. Production capacity establishes whether the order can be met. Sustainability practice establishes whether the supplier clears the compliance bar that European retail increasingly sets. References establish that someone else has already taken the risk.

That is the whole argument, in the order a buyer makes it, and nothing else was added to dilute it.

Design and system

Product lines are shown as garment categories rather than as individual styles, because a buyer is assessing capability, not choosing a shirt. The production section is given equal visual weight to the product section — for this audience it is the more important of the two, and a layout that treated it as an afterthought would misread the reader.

The site is published in English, which is the working language of the European sourcing conversation.

Build

The structure keeps product lines, production and sustainability as separate content areas so any one can be expanded as the business documents more of its process, without redesigning the others. Contact is a direct enquiry route rather than a quote calculator, since manufacturing enquiries begin with a specification, not a price.

Outcome

Rebuilt the site around what a buyer evaluates — product lines, production capacity and sustainability practice — instead of a consumer-facing catalogue the business does not sell through.
