Context

ATA Accountancy is a firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers based in London, serving business owners across compliance, taxation and advisory work. Its client base is not monolingual, and the practice publishes in English, Turkish and German.

Challenge

The offer is genuinely broad — compliance services, support services, consultancy and systems advice, personal tax, corporation tax, VAT, NI and PAYE, and HMRC investigations. Presented as a flat list, that breadth reads as an undifferentiated menu, and a business owner arriving with one specific question has to scan all of it to find themselves. Multiply that by three languages and the structure has to hold in each one.

Strategy

We treated the service list as a hierarchy rather than a catalogue. Compliance, support and consultancy became the three top-level routes, with the individual tax disciplines nested beneath the one they belong to. A visitor who knows they need VAT help and a visitor who only knows their books are behind both reach the right page, from opposite directions.

The homepage was given a single proposition — smart accounting for growing businesses — and one action. Everything else on the page exists to support the decision to take it.

Design and system

The interface leads with a dark editorial hero and moves to lighter fields as the content becomes more procedural, so the visual weight follows the reading order rather than competing with it. The three-step account of how the practice works is placed before the detailed service pages, because a prospective client evaluates the working relationship before they evaluate the technical scope.

Build

The site runs the same content model across all three language versions, so a service added in English does not leave a gap in the Turkish or German experience. Enquiry routes are duplicated in the header, the contact panel and a dedicated form page, on the basis that the moment someone decides to make contact is not predictable.

Outcome

Structured a broad compliance and advisory offer into a navigable service hierarchy, and made the same journey available in English, Turkish and German.
